I’ve been teaching IB Geography for over eight years and really enjoy helping students make sense of the links between people, places and the environment. I spend plenty of time on essay structure, case study selection and Internal Assessments, as those are often where students can gain valuable marks. I also mark practice responses using the IB criteria so there are no surprises on exam day.

Hi! I tutor IB Geography because I genuinely enjoy the subject and the conversations it creates. My lessons are relaxed but focused, and I like using current events to explain topics such as migration, climate change and urban growth. I’m also happy to help with IA planning, whether you already have an idea or you're starting from scratch.

Alongside tutoring, I have worked in environmental research, which allows me to bring real examples into IB Geography lessons. My students often come to me for support with higher-mark essays, data response questions and fieldwork investigations. I teach only the IB curriculum and tailor every lesson around the student's strengths and areas for improvement.

I started tutoring while at university and never really stopped. What I enjoy most is showing students that Geography isn't just about memorising case studies. My background is in physical geography, and I’ve spent the past decade supporting IB students preparing for both SL and HL examinations. I focus on helping learners interpret command terms accurately, develop balanced evaluations and improve exam timing. Many students also ask me to review IA drafts before final submission, which I’m always pleased to do.

Geography has always been my favourite subject because it explains so much about the world around us. I like keeping lessons practical by using satellite images, news stories and maps instead of relying only on textbooks. We cover the syllabus carefully, but there’s always time to answer questions and revisit anything that feels unclear before exams.
